Come view more than 140 fascinating Revolutionary War-era objects housed in the Pennsylvania State Museum. This special exhibition, Revolutionary Things: Objects from the Collection sheds light on their historical importance and significance.

The artifacts include items like an 18th-century military coat, a Revolutionary War soldier's tombstone, and a George Washington letter.

Each object provides a unique window into the past, showcasing the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought for American independence.

Through these artifacts, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by early American soldiers and the pivotal role Pennsylvania played in the Revolutionary War.

 

Aside from the historical items themselves, other features of this special exhibit include Commemorative art and displays from the Centennial (1876) and Bicentennial (1976) Celebrations of our nation's birth.
